Adventure food was founded by Hans Van Der Muelen
Adventure Food freeze-dried food has been shaped and developed by Hans van der Meulen, a Dutch expedition climber and the only Dutchman to have climbed five mountain peaks over 8,000 meters. In addition, he was the only Dutchman to climb Mount Everest without extra oxygen.
Hans Van Der Muelen reached the North Pole in 1997
He and the team managed to reach the North Pole on foot in the first Dutch Arctic expedition in 1997. In 2002, Van der Meulen was named knight of the Order of the Dutch Lion for his achievements as an expedition climber. It is his great interest and experience in expeditions that is behind the creation of Adventure food with nutritious freeze-dried food at the heart of the range. Through his experience of outdoor and survival in extreme conditions, Adventure Food became a priority and he developed freeze-dried food that was not only compact, light, easy to use, tasty, and at a reasonable price, but most importantly, both nutritious food needed to cope with a life in an outdoor environment.
