MRE

MRE (meals Ready To Eat)  are, unlike freeze-dried, ready to eat, without adding water. The bags are heated with a heater, in a pan or just in the bag next to the campfire. The bags weigh more than freeze-dried food and are therefore better suited for shorter trips or for expeditions where weight is not important. In return, you always have a cooked meal ready. In an emergency, the contents can also be eaten cold, directly from the bag.
